In the study of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA), analysis was carried out to
determine the response of fertilizer types and soil types on the yields of three types of crop.
The data used for the analysis was collected from Obasanjo farms Nigeria limited, analysis
was carried out based on multivariate statistics which is Pillai ‘s trace. Hence the result
confirmed there is no enough evidence to show a significant relationship between fertilizer
and crop yields and for the soil types, we therefore reject the null hypothesis at specified level
of significance and conclude that there is no enough evidence to show a significant
relationship between soil type and crop yields, and for soil type and fertilizer, we also
therefore reject the null hypothesis at specified level of significance and conclude that there
is a significant relationship between soil type, fertilizers and crop yields. Therefore, future
researchers should carry out a similar research work with more than three interaction effects
to compare the results, also find out among the fertilizer types specifically which one has
more effect.
