The nutritional potential and phytochemical contents of were investigated using standard methods of (A.O.A.C.,1990) and others. The results of proximate analysis of revealed that, Carbohydrate has the highest value of 69.68 ± 2.03%,which was followed bycrude protein (13.5 ± 0.04%), moisture content(8.88± 0.03%), , crude fibre(3.92± 2.03%) ,ash content (2.12± 0.003%) and hexane extract content(1.9 ± 0.0 03%). The results of determination of vitamin content of gave the followings; Vitamin A (0.021 ± 0.001mg/100g), Vitamin B1 (0.173 ± 0.001mg/100g), Vitamin B2 (0.047 ± 0.002mg/100g), Vitamin B6 (0.368 ± 0.001± 0.001mg/100g), Vitamin B12 (0.863 ± 0.001mg/100g), Vitamin C (24.14 ± 0.02mg/100g), Vitamin E (0.603± 0.001mg/100g) and Vitamin K (0.005 ± 0.001 mg/100g). The results of mineral content of depicted that, Potassium has the highest value of 629.30 ± 3.50mg/100g and this was followed by Calcium (31.88 ± 1.02mg/100g). Sodium also has the value of (28.25 ± 0.21mg/100g) while magnesium and manganese have 21.55 ± 0.03mg/100g and 4.84 ± 0.02mg/100g
respectively. The results of phytochemical analysis showed that alkaloid has a highest value of 7.03±0.22mg/100g and this is
followed by saponin 0.42±0.01mg/100g, flavonoid 0.153±0.003mg/100g, phytate0.144±0.001mg/100g, tannin 0.28±0.003mg/100g, oxalate 0.14±0.004mg/100g and cyanoglycoside 0.003± 0.001mg/100g.
