The dye was extracted by using water with a small addition of Sodium hydroxide and Sulphuric acid respectively in different dye bath. Three different kinds of mordants; alum, copper sulphate and iron (ii) sulphate salts were used in the application of the dye to the fabrics. Colour fastness testing synonymous to their usage in real life were also carried out. The dyed fabrics came out with different hues and the fabrics were subjected to various testing agencies and were observed to have good fastness rating value ranging from 3.5 to 5 on a scale of 5.0 (grey scale to wash test.
