Abstract: The proximate and mineral compositions of two traditional vegetables in Osogbo, Osun State were determined. The leafy vegetables used were wild lettuce (Yanrin-in Yoruba) Lactuca virosa and Crassocephalum rubens (Ebolo– in Yoruba language). They were divided into two portions .One part was analyzed as fresh sample and the other part as dried sample, the two samples were analyzed for proximate and minerals compositions.
