This study investigates the proximate composition, elemental, phytochemical screening and anti-nutrient of Xylopia aethiopica fruit. The proximate analysis reveals significant carbohydrate content (64.21 %), energy content (354.32 kcal/100g) and protein content of (19.69 %), indicating its potential as a nutritional supplement. Phytochemical screening highlights the presence of bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, and terpenoids, while alkaloids and anthraquinones are absent. Anti-nutrient analysis revealed that the fruit contain relatively low content except for phenols with (46.95 ± 1.15 mg/100g). The findings underscore the importance of the X. aethiopica fruit as good supplement and additives in food development.
