Osun State Polytechnic, Iree was established as a Satellite Campus of The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1981. It became a full-fledged Institution in October, 1992 when the law establishing the Institution was signed by the First Executive Governor of the State, Otunba Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke.

BACKGROUND OF THE DIRECTORATE OF RESEARCH AND PUBLICATIONS

The Directorate came into existence as a result of fusing two existing directorates in 2009 during the administration of Dr J. O. Agboola, for better coordination. These are the Directorates of Research and Development and Publications.

  • The Directorate was established to carry out the following activities.
  • To coordinate and promote research activities of members of staff especially academic members with a view to breaking grounds in various academic disciplines
  • To support and promote well-defined research works and to encourage collaboration, between researchers in the Institution, between the Institution and other Institutions and between the Institution and organizations.
  • To provide a suitable platform, by launching a standard journal, for researchers and scholars to showcase the outcome of their research efforts and to disseminate timely and informative articles that will represent state of the art knowledge in various fields of academic endeavor.
