This study examined the residents’ perception of the effect of noise pollution on health varying in Ilesha. The study examined the air pollution sources in the study area, the dominance of each source of air pollution in different neighbourhoods, the severity of pollution from each source and the perceived health implications on surrounding residents. Stratified sampling technique was used to classify the town into three residential densities (high, medium and low). Random sampling was used to select 3localities from high residential density,2 localities from medium residential density and 1locality from low residential density 0.5% of the population in each selected locality was sampled and a total of 113 questionnaires were administered. ANOVA was used to determine
the factor responsible for spatial variation of incidence of air pollution within residential densities. The study revealed that houses closer to air pollution sources experience health problems like headache, sleep disorder among such residents. The study therefore recommends that appropriate frameworks should be put in place for effective enforcement of laws and policies against air pollution
